The goal of Babylon’s Covert War is to educate by sharing personal, professional, and academic experiences the reader might otherwise not have known or linked together. History has illustrated much to mankind, but as time passes generations seem to forget about the lessons learned or either through individual or societal influences they conveniently forget. The book discusses a wide variety of unconventional warfare topics, religion, strategy, and history throughout the last millennium. There are those that have “speculated” on the current War on Terrorism, describing it as a phenomenon that is new and emerging only in the last several decades. The truth, however, is that the United States and its allies, depending on which decade and century one is discussing, has been dealing with a multitude of radical forms of Islam since the founding of this great country. History has demonstrated that Islam, in its twisted beliefs, does not have the ability to grow and merge with the prosperous Twenty First Century.

 This site also offers other links, in that, readers can begin to gather the needed resources and decide for themselves whether the threat is real, imagined, or all together nonexistent. Without intelligence collection and analysis and those that apply history to the threat, the nation grows vulnerable and weak. Our enemies are finding out that we are not weak, despite the mumblings of politicians in Washington D.C. that seek solutions that appear on the surface to favor military soldiers, but over time will only end in defeat as it did in Vietnam. When the enemy has agreed to follow a certain policy or resolution and then violates those terms, we as a nation have no obligation to continue such reckless hope by obeying the terms set forth, that in some way we may hold ourselves to a higher standard. Our enemies want us dead and care not that we have set forth policy of obeying international law.

With this said, the reader must understand the broader perspective that not all wars are the same and only lessons learned can be applied for future use, albeit, not relied on as a total answer for a given conflict, but applied as a foundation to which intelligence collection and analysis is built upon. There will be critics to this book, there will be those that will stand up and shout, “fear”, and those that will do anything but learn from this work, and that is exactly what the enemies of the United States count on. By sharing what has been learned and what will come from Islamic terrorists and organizations in seeking the destruction of the Western World, the reader will have a greater appreciation for what President Bush had to undertake and those that served and are now still serving are tolerating in the miserable areas of the world.  Incursions around the world and the spikes of violence are all related to Islam and its intolerance for other religions, cultures, and societies that are different. I have gathered specific sources to prove this threat has been long lived and until it is met with force and destroyed totally it will not subside. Iraq is one example in many and until leaders and public alike deal effectively with this threat, jihadists will continue their attacks.

• 05 NOV 2009 - US Commissioned Officer, Major Nidal Hasan, an Army psychiatrist entered Fort Hood, TX and shot and killed 13 military and civilian personnel and wounded 31 others – this self-professed jihadi is now paralyzed from the chest down and will be tried by a military court.
• 2009 US Drug Enforcement Administration secretly taped a meeting in Ghana, Africa in a sting operation conducted in DEC targeting Al Qaeda operatives working to smuggle cocaine through the Islamist badlands of the Sahara for Columbia’s FARC.
• 25 DEC 2009 - Umar Farouk AbdulMutallab, the British-educated son of a Nigerian bank executive, allegedly attempted to set off a bomb sewn into his underwear on a Northwest Airlines flight from Amsterdam , Netherlands , as it approached Detroit , Michigan .
• 2010 Al Qaeda has fully established an unmonitored aerial trade route between Western Africa and Venezuela for illegal drug and arms exchange. Links have also been established between Sudan and Afghanistan for opium trafficking.
• 01 MAY 2010 - Faisal Shahzad, a Pakistani who tried to detonate a truck bomb in Times Square on May 1, 2010 and was arrested on 03 MAY 2010.
• 27 OCT 2010 - Farooque Ahmed, 34, of Ashburn , Va. , was arrested on 27 OCT 2010 for attempting to assist others whom he believed to be members of al-Qaeda in planning multiple bombings at Metrorail stations in the Washington , D.C. , area.
• 25 NOV 2010 - A horrific “near miss” occurred in Oregon , as Mohamed Osman Mohamud, a Somali immigrant and aspiring Islamic terrorist attempted to explode a truck bomb in the middle of a crowd that had gathered in Portland for the Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
• 08 DEC 2010 - A Baltimore man  (Antonio Martinez, also known as Muhammad Hussain) was arrested Wednesday for plotting to blow up a military recruitment center, tried to detonate a phony bomb at an Armed Forces recruiting station in Catonsville , MD.
• 25 January 2011 – Egypt erupts into a revolution from the ground up swell of social supported elements to replace the regime of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak with members associated or belonging to the Muslim Brotherhood.
• 15 February 2011 – Libya also begins to experience a social uprising, which begins a series of slow moving engagements by National Transitional Council (comprised of radical Islamic members) with Muammar Gaddafi and his regime military units. By SEPT 2011, the UN has conceded that the NTC is now the official ruling entity of Libya, even though Gaddafi and his military units are still actively engaged in localize conflicts with NTC armed units.
• 01 MAY 2011 – Osama Bin Laden was discovered by US Intelligence to be in a compound located in Abbottabad, Pakistan and was killed by Seal Team 6 with other US military branches involved. The Compound was located near a Pakistan military base.
• 2011 In JULY, an AWOL Moslem soldier, Naser Jason Abdo, from Fort Campbell, KY was apprehended for plotting to attack Fort Hood, TX - the subject was found with bomb making material and child pornography - his intended targets were military personnel
  
• 28 SEPT 2011 - 26-year-old Rezwan Ferdaus from Massachusetts was arrested after Federal agents discovered the plot by this Northeastern University graduate to bomb the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon using remote controlled aircraft filled with plastic explosives.
